Fernanda takes everyday objects and transforms them into beautiful pieces to build her installations. She enjoys when routinary objects lose their original purpose and become recontextualised in a surprising setting. In other words, she deconstructs objects and relocates them in new contexts that are engaging and attractive.
Fernanda's Mexican background comes to the fore when she adapts traditional and pop Mexican iconography, intervening objects and giving them her own stylistic signature.
She began her career as an illustrator, gradually moving into creating three-dimensional pieces. She currently provides creative and innovative solutions for window displays and interior shops. Illustrates for different magazines and blogs, teaches at Iberoamericana University in Mexico City, is Founder of Fashion ID Mexico and GomitasLab collective.
